This pic was taken at Deep Creek Hot Springs by my sister while I was watching the Playboy photo shoot. My boots came out like some weeney-a** shoes in this picture, but they're really some kick-a** boots with the best soles I've ever had (traction wise, but otherwise, the lugs are breaking off) and I still wear them on every hike I take. April 1998.

Aug 5, 2000. I'm on the top of Pine Mountain here in the Angeles National Forest. Me and Jerry are up there just goofing off. I say, take a picture of me so it looks like I'm hanging on the edge of a cliff (there was maybe a 2ft drop under me in this pic). I get into this weird sideways position on the rock & all my weight is pretty much on one arm. I'm waiting there for about a minute until he lines the shot up and finally takes it. So, I'm struggling to keep from cracking-up laughing and falling off in this picture. The 15 freeway near the Cajon Pass is somewhere down there (if you give a d*mn). And yes my jeans are that dirty.

Aug 10, 2000. I went back out to the top of Pine Mountain here (and made it to Mt Baldy, in the distance, this time). I don't know why I took those stupid glasses, I didn't wear them once the whole time. I can't wait 'till I loose them.
