Here's a list of some
of the hikes I've taken. This list only includes the hikes that
I remember and is by NO means all of the hikes I've taken. The details/hiking
times listed below are all from memory, I take no notes while hiking.
If I go alone I can usually recall the entire route in vivid detail;
if I go with someone, I pay a lot less attention. The steepest slope
I've ever hiked up was about 500 verticle ft in 100 horizontal feet
= ~79° on loose rock out near the "Middle Fork Lytle Creek Falls."

I'm Planning (in no order, let me know if you're interested) |
HIKE
#1:
Mt Baden Powell in under an hour from Vincent Gap Parking
HIKE
#2:
The Pinnacles, SBNF. Going to take some people out there
who have never been and also explore a lot of the rest of
that mountain. HIKE
#3:
Butler Peak in San Bernardino NF; we are going to drive
out on Hwy 18 and find a turnout near the peak and run up
the side of the mountain to the trail to the fire lookout
tower. It's about 1500ft elev. gain in 1/2 mile.
HIKE
#4:
Buckhorn Campground from Devil's Punchbowl via Burkhart
Trail in Angeles NF, ~ 24mi RT. We are going to do this in
December when Hwy 2 is closed (hopefully there will be a lot
of snow by December this year) so there will be no one out
there. Snow camping, yeah!! HIKE
#5:
Grinnell Mountain in the San Gorgonio Wilderness. From
Sugarloaf Mtn, this appears to be a beautiful heavily forested
mountain. |
