Comments: The CONEIVORE® Allows you to pick up pinecones quickly and easily without bending over or poking your fingers on sharp barbs. The coneivore holds approximately 15 to 18 pinecones amnd is able to pick up cones generally 2" to 5" in diameter. The CONEIVORE is durable, lightweight and easy to use, simply push the CONEIVORE down over the pinecone and repeat until full. To empty the CONEIVORE simply turn it upside down. Assembly required. How I found DesertMud: Looking for pine seeds for Torrey pine
Comments: I enjoyed your site, and especially your tales of growing pine trees. If you ever find any seeds from a Torrey pine I'd like a few to try to grow in Hawaii. The pine nuts from them are very large and tasty - better than traditional pine nuts like pinon. I assume they are not poisonous - ack, ack, ack. Ray

How I found DesertMud: Search for info on Coulter pines on the net
Comments: I used to make pine needle baskets and located one beautiful Coulter pine here in Portland, Oregon, and one day a cone dislodged and I was able to take it home. Eventually some seeds fell out and I planted them in containers and five of them sprouted. Three of them died, but two survived and are growing energetically in my back yard!

How I found DesertMud: I searched for Pinus x funebris
Comments: I am very interested in the family Pinus. I grew different Pinus too, for example Pinus x funebris. That species is regarded as a very old hybrid in Russian Far East. Last october i visited a natural stand, perhaps 300-400 trees not far from Khanka Lake, near the border to China in the russian region Primorsky krai. I found your homepage very good! Best regards Sten

How I found DesertMud: Yahoo search for "Mt. Bike Trails"
Comments: Great site! Like your trip reports. I just started hiking again this year. I hiked San Gorgonio wilderness trails all summer. October 10 this year I did Gorgonio via Vivian Creek. It was very cold and windy and too many clouds for a nice view. Can't wait to go up again. Probably in the spring. I have decided to try mountain biking in my old age. Thought I'd just rent one to try it out. Got any suggestions on how to get started? Michele

* * * * FIRST AID & SURVIVAL SUPPLIES * * * *

WE ARE GOING TO WAR !!!

Stock up on survival and first aid supplies today! Manufacturers of survival and first aid equipment are struggling to keep up with the growing demand. This is especially true for meals ready to eat (MRE's) and other storable food & water. These products have a 5 year shelf life and are in extremely high demand. The U.S. Military is currently purchasing many of the warehouse stockpiles of storable food and water for their use. Make sure that you are supplied for you, your family, and friends. Even at this point in time (2/13/2003) distributors of survival supplies are taking 2 weeks to ship orders to their customers because of the huge demand. Get your supplies before they run out!

We're not talking Y2K here, we're talking about going to war. You need to be prepared because homeland security may become jeopardized. Why wait until it's too late. It's a small investment on products that will last many years to ensure that you have the means to survive if necessary.

VISIT RAYTECH SURVIVAL & FIRST AID TODAY TO GET WHAT YOU NEED TO SURVIVE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

Raytech's prices are up to 30% LESS than other first aid and survival suppliers!!

Visit Raytech NOW by clicking here!

Raytech offers high calorie food bars approved by the U.S. Coast Guard. But what good is food without water? Water is one of the fundamentals of life in addition to food. That's why Raytech offers a selection of prepackaged water with a 5-year shelf life. Raytech also offers a full line of water containers and water barrels that hold up to 55 gallons. Consider what would happen if our water supplies were tainted with a chemical or biological agent. Make sure that you know the water you drink and give to your children is free from contaminants. Do yourself a favor and visit Raytech.

In addition to emergency food and water supplies, Raytech offers a complete line of survival and first aid equipment including: 1-20 person survival kits, 1-1000 person first aid and trauma kits, first aid supplies to refil a first aid kit, automobile emergency supplies, solar and hand powered radios, lighting supplies, fire extinguishers, emergency escape hoods portable toilets and sanitary supplies, search and rescue supplies and equipment, tents, long burning candles, 20-year shelf life batteries, and more.
