This pic was taken on 9/8/96. There are 3 huge Coulter Pine trees here right on the shore of Lake Gregory in Crestline, CA.
This pic was taken on 9/8/96 at Lake Gregory in Crestline.
This pic was taken on 6/1/98. These are the pine trees that I started from seed. Most of the trees in the black pots were started in 1998 and most of them are Coulter Pines. The trees in the styrofoam cups are Italian Stone pines (Pinus pinea) that I started from seed collected from Hesperia Lakes and at this house down the street from me. I temporarly had to move them all to this slab of concrete in the picture.
This pic was taken Summer 1996 and shows the same Coulter pine trees at Lake Gregory in Crestline that the above pictures show.
Summer 1996; here's another shot of the Coulter Pines at Lake Gregory.
This pic was taken 4/20/97. This is just across Hwy 173 near Lake Arrowhead, by a major turnout.

Summer 1996; a nice shot of some unripened Coulter Pine cones.
Summer 1996; a nice shot of a Coulter Pine at Lake Gregory. Look at all the people who stopped just to see these trees.
Summer 1996; more of the Coulter Pines at Lake Gregory.
July 10, 1995; this is the first pine tree that I ever grew from seed. It is a Jeffery Pine and I got the seed from Table Mountain near Wrightwood, CA. I ended up growing 3 Jeffery Pines this year (1995) and now only one is still alive and not very big; I blame its lack of growth on the desert environment, but I grew a Lodgepole from seed from outside Big Bear Lake and it's been growing really fast, so??
June 11, 1995; here's a Jeffery Pine - the stump and its top at Table Mountain outside of Wrightwood, CA.
June 11, 1995; it ain't no pine tree, but it's a cool pic of a snow plant on Table Mountain outside of Wrightwood, CA.
April 1997; here's more of my blurred growing operation. These are Italian Stone Pines (Pinus pinea). Most of these ended up in the styrofoam cups shown in the picture above. In June 2000, I gave all of these trees to a lunatic named Jerry who lives out in Phelan. They had been outgrowing the styrofoam cups for about 2 years.
April 1997; here's a close up shot of an Italian Stone Pine (Pinus pinea) and seed. That's my room there: to the right is an incense holder I made out of mud from a creek in Durango, Co. In the center is a outdated stamp and stamppad. To the right is the base of my lamp with a jug of whiteout and a utility knife. That seed is most likely from Hesperia Lakes.
Summer 1999; another pic of my pine trees. All but two of the black pots are Coulter Pines. See that green pot there with the strawberry plant in it; I ran over it (by accident) with a 4ft tractor tire shortly after this pic was taken. But don't worry, I saved the strawberry plant and planted it in the ground and now it's spreading everywhere.
June 24, 2000. My trees there are about 64 Coulter Pine there. The two large pines in the back are Italian Stone (Pinus pinea) and the one with the stake is a London Plane Tree. This was taken after I gave my friend Jerry 16 Coulter Pines and 30-some Italian Stone Pines. I didn't start any new trees this year, the first year in about five years that I haven't.
